Zaffer demands UNMOGIP’s intervention into the LOC killings,
Urged India-Pakistan to start dialogue for Kashmir resolution
SRINAGAR, August 31:
Chief public relations of APHC (M) and Jammu and Kashmir salvation
movement chairman, Zaffer Akbar Bhat today urged United National
military observer group’s (UNMOGIP) intervention into the LOC killings
for ending up the Skirmish, as war is no solution to Kashmir issue. He
appealed both the countries to start meaningful talks by involving
Kashmiris for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Zaffer Akbar bhat accompanied by party leaders and activists including
Syed Bashir Indrabi, Zulfikar Hameed, Imtiyaz  Ahmad, Mohd Shaban
visited border areas of tehsil Chadoora importantly Brianwar, Surasyar,
Brabripora. Addressing different gatherings, Zaffer paid glowing
tributes to all those civilians who lost their precious lives during
past days because of the firing and shelling on LOC and said that
skirmish on the border isn’t the issue but Kashmir is the issue that
needs to be resolved on humanitarian grounds.
Zaffer said at a time when border of disputed Kashmir is observed by
United Nations itself by its military observer group and the
activities on the border being monitor tied by high definition
cameras, it is not enough hard to held a fair into the LOC killings.
He demanded an international probe into the killings of LOC as to end
the skirmish that has endangered the peace in whole south Asia and
appealed UN military group to help in escalating the tension.
He said that continued tension at LoC can have further put negative
impact on relations between India and Pakistan and urged UN to
intervene and ensure peace at LoC.
Maintaining that border is not the issue but Kashmir is, Zaffer said
that instead of raging war and killing each other’s people at border
both the countries should re-start the dialogue process for the early
resolution of Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of Kashmiris
people who rendered unparallel scarifies for their basic right ‘right
to self determination’.
He appealed United Nations to press India-Pakistan for Kashmir
resolution peacefully, Zaffer said that the people of Jammu and
Kashmir who laid their lives for the ongoing freedom movement will not
be allowed to go waste and urged upon people to support the martyrs
mission.
Stressing upon the Demilitarization of Jammu and Kashmir, Zaffer said
that safety of the people in whole jammu and Kashmir can be guaranteed
only after the demilitarization
