APHC leader, Zaffar Akbar Bhat shifted to Baramulla sub jail

The senior APHC leader and Chairmen of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zaffar Akbar Bhat who was arrested yesterday by policemen in Lal Chowk protest was shifted by the authorities to sub-jail Baramulla. Chairman of JKSM, Zaffar Akbar Bhat was shifted to the sub-jail, said spokesman of the JKSM. He strongly condemned the party Chairman arrest and termed it frustration of authorities.
Bhat also with dozens of Hurriyet leaders and activists was arrested in Lal Chowk after staging protest demonstrations, demanding release of all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders a
nd activists including APHC senior leader, Shabir Ahmad Shah.
He appealed to the world human rights bodies to take notice of the worst situation of the Kashmir territory as the continued gross human rights violations had life of people in Kashmir miserable. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Peoples
Political Party, Hilal Ahmad War who was also arrested yesterday was also shifted to the sub-jail. The party spokesman also condemned his arrest and termed it as an act of politics of vengeance to muzzle the voices of pro-freedom groups in the valley. He however warned that such tactics would not bully down struggle for birth right.
