» Zaffer visits Budgam,
expresses sympathy with families
Rising Kashmir NewsSrinagar, October 13: Continuing with APHC’s (M) mass contact program, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman (JKSM) Zaffer Akbar Bhat today visited various areas of Budgam including Sanoor Kalipora, Wadwan, and Suibugh and met with the families of those ‘who have offered their loves ones for the Kashmir struggle’, JKSM press statement issued today said.
“During the visit, families of deceased persons and youth conveyed their messages and suggestions to the leader and appealed the Hurriyat leadership to continue the mission of the sons of the soil who have laid down their lives for Kashmir,” statement added.
Zaffer Akbar expressed solidarity with the families and appealed them not to lose heart, saying that, “Not a single drop of blood of their loved ones will be allowed to go waste.”
He told families that the separatist leadership is committed to continue the struggle till Kashmiris get their rights and the sacrifices of our men, due to which Kashmir issue echoed on international level, will not be allowed to go waste.
“Kashmir struggle belongs to each and every individual of the State, so primarily it is every one’s duty to safe guard the mission; however, leadership has to shoulder the major responsibility,” he said.
Zaffer added that India and Pakistan have to endorse the role of our people who have laid down their lives before moving ahead on Kashmir resolution and two countries have to respect the aspirations and sentiments of the common people.
Expressing satisfaction over the release of Muslim League leader Mustaq-ul-Islam, Zaffer demanded unconditional release of all political leaders and prisoners especially the youths before Eid so that they can celebrate Eid with their families

Zaffar, Javed demand release of political prisoners before Eid
Srinagar, October 11: Senior Hurriyat Conference leaders- Jammu
and Kashmir Salvation movement Chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat and Liberation Front
Chairman Javid Ahmad Mir today led protest demonstration in Wahibug Pulwama
against the continuous human rights violations and detention of political
activists of Kashmir aimed to suppress the ongoing movement.
Large number of people in the area raised slogans in favour of
freedom and Islam.
Addressing the gathering leaders said “On the occasion of
Eid-ul-Azha we again want to bring in to the notice of international community,
India and its civil society all the atrocities being perpetrated on the people.
We demand release Kashmiri political prisoners on the eve of Eid on
humanitarian grounds. We demand release youths detained this year.
Zaffer castigated authorities of Sub Jail Baramullah for denying
detainees their rights. He said, “Kashmiri prisoners are being deprived of
their rights and their presence before the courts is being delayed while as the
health conditions of the prisoners is also getting worsened as they are being
deprived of medical help. He said.
“Besides revocation of PSA, AFSPA and other black laws, review
of life imprisonments awarded to kashmiris, shifting of detainees to the jails
in their home districts and providing all facilities to detainees according to
jail manuals, We demand hassle-free permission to visitors to meet prisoners in
jails,” said the leaders while addressing the protesters.
They also paid glowing tributes to martyrs of the area and
committed to continue the martyrs mission till Kashmir gets resolved.
Expressing serious concern over the LOC Skrimish, leaders said
that it is imperative for both the countries to resolve Kashmir issue without
any further delay for the permenet peace in South Asia as well as on borders.
