India conducting sham polls to justify illegal occupation; Zaffer,

Elections prolonging the resolution of Kashmir dispute: Javed

Srinagar, April 18:

Senior APHC leaders; Jammu and Kashmir Salvation movement Chairman Zaffer Akber Bhat and Liberation Front (H) Chairman Javed Ahmad Mir today while continuing its program to reach out to general public and aware them about the ill effects of elections on Kashmir Freedom movement, addressed a huge gathering in Achegam area of Budgam district.JKSM activists Shafi Kashmiri,Aijaz Beigh,Iqbal Hakim,Ghulam Nabi accompanied them.

Addressing the gathering Zaffer Akbar Bhat said that India was conducting sham polls in Kashmir to justify its illegal occupation and to mislead the world community in which they failed miserably.

“By trying resolve Kashmir issue through these manufactured sham polls India is creating more hurdles in its resolution so instead of conducting polls Indian must take concrete steps for the resolution of Kashmir issue which will guarantee peace and prosperity.” Zaffer said said.
Leaders welcomed the recent statement of Jalil Abbas Jilani, Pakistani Foreign minister who had stressed both the countries to resolve the dispute amicably to guarantee the economic prosperity.

Zaffer said that due to Kashmir conflict can bring disaster in whole south Asian region if not resolved. “In present situation both the nuclear power countries can fight a war as the countries have fought over three wars on the issue so it is imperative for both the countries to resolve the dispute through a meaningful dialogue process .” they said adding dialogue is the only way forward for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.

 They said that due to dispute Kashmiris have faced the human, economic loss as lacs of people were killed while as property worth hundreds of thousands cr’s got damaged due to the conflict. They said that world community were aware about the election drama being enacted by India in the state. “World knows the reality of these sham polls if election were the resolution of Kashmir issue which they conducting here since 1947 then there were no wars and no freedom movements.”Javed Ahmad Mir while addressing the gathering said.

He said that these sham polls were just prolonging the resolution of Kashmir conflict which can prove disaster for the whole region.

Mir said that movement like of 1931 and since then stands testimony to the fact that elections being conducting by India in the state were just part of policy to justify its presence in the state while as the people of the state have never accepted the India’s illegal rule and demanding peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.  

He said that Indo-Pak trade, bus service between Muzafferabad-Srinagar and other diplomatic steps were co-related with Kashmir conflict hence needs mechanism to resolve the dispute.JKSM leaders Adnan kashmiri, Molvi Rafiq, Mushtaq kashmiri, M Rashid also address anti election rallies at DK pora shopian,pulwama,Budgam,chadoora.
