JAKAF urges HR bodies to help stop innocent killings in Kashmir

The Joint Association of Kashmiri Affected Families (JAKAF) has appealed to the international human rights organisations to impress upon India to stop killing of innocent Kashmiri people in the territory.
The spokesman of the organisation in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the continued massive protest demonstrations had frustrated the occupation authorities and they were targeting and killing the innocent Kashmiri youth.
He said that India was using different repressive tactics to suppress the ongoing liberation movement. “India will never succeed in its nefarious designs as the people of Kashmir will continue their struggle till securing right to self-determination,” he added.
The spokesman said that the time has come that India should accept Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory. He urged India to lift curfew, withdraw troops from the occupied territory, repeal all the draconian laws and release all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zaffar Akbar Butt.
