Srinagar, Oct 21: Senior Hurriyat (M) leader and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat on Tuesday said the people of Kashmir have offered supreme sacrifices for the resolution of Kashmir dispute.

JKSM statement issued today said that
Zaffer along with party leaders visited Sanoor Kalipora grave yard and paid
glowing tributes to hundreds of departed souls including the prominent leader
Mohammad Ashraf Dar of Sanoor Kali Pora, Budgam on his 20th death anniversary.
He also paid glowing tributes to Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement leader late Rouf Rasool on his 9th death anniversary and threw light on the role they have played in the Kashmir struggle, statement added.

“Both
the leaders were brave and pious,” statement-quoting Zafar said, adding that,
“Zafar also paid glowing tributes to brave hearts of Hzratbal, Bijbehara and
Panaar Bandipora who fell to the bullets of forces on 17 and 22 of October in
1993 respectively,.”
Zaffer
in the statement also hailed the recent statement of Pakistan Prime Nawaz
Sharief in which Sharief has demanded the intervention of United States in
resolving the Kashmir issue.
