Zaffar condemns fresh arrest spree in Valley, Gool Ramban
Demands final resolution of K-Issue
Srinagar, Dec 30 (KNS): The Hurriyat Conference (M) senior leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat on Monday condemned the fresh arrest spree and demanded unconditional release of youth detained in Chrawni ,Banderpora,lelharda,Kakpora Pulwama and Ramban areas of the state.
The statement issued to KNS stated that  Zaffar Akbar Bhat along with several other leaders including Zulfiqar Hamid, Shafi Kashmiri, Beigh Aijaz and Manzoor Ahmad today visited affected families of youth at Chrawni chadoora, Banderpora, Lelharada ,Kakpora Pulwama, who have been detained by the forces from past days during nocturnal raids.
He said that from past days police had arrested Painter Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, Driver Mohd Ayoub Lone,      Tanvir Ahmad Sofi, Javed Ahmad lone, Shahid Ahmad Reshi, Aashiq Lone, Muzaffer Ahmad Malik, Younis Ahmad Malik and Bilal Ahmad who got married a month ago from these areas.
Zaffar while condemning the fresh arrest spree said that Indian troops had lashed terror among the people of the areas due to these arrests. He condemned the oppressive tact’s of troops and said that these acts can’t muzzle the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people who have nourished it by their hot blood.
Reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharief’s recent statement about the resumption of Indo-Pak dialogue process and hoped that both countries will take initiatives to resolve the Kashmir issue which has endangered the peace not only in Indo-Pak countries but also in whole south Asian region.Zaffer said that India and Pakistan should start a dialogue process involving Kashmiri leadership for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue according to the whishes of people of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Party Chairman Zaffer Akber Bhat ,visited Hatharan Badgam expressed solidarity with the families of Moulana Syed Nazir Ahmed Bukhari who passed away 3 day ago,He said that late Moulana and his family has played a role for Islam and movement and his cousin Syed Shabir Ahmed has achieved martyrdom. Zaffar also express solidarity with its party activists Farooq Ahmad Rather and Mohammad Sarwar whose father and mother respectively passed away. Zaffer visited both the families and prayed for the departed souls. (KNS)
