Rising Kashmir news
Srinagar, Sept 07:  Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) in a separate statement also condemned the Shopian killing.
The statement also condemned the detention of JKSM chairman Zaffar Akber Bhat.
The killing of 4 innocent Kashmiris by forces on Saturday at Shopian and injuring half a dozen are worst kind of human rights violation, the statement quoting Zaffar Akber Bhat said, adding that Bhat has been put under house arrest since morning.
The statement while paying tributes to the deceased expressed solidarity with the injured persons.
“World and international media should acknowledge that Kashmiris are not safe and today’s killing of innocent Kashmiris has been perpetrated in the cover of Zubin Mehta’s musical concert,” statement said.
Zaffar also appealed for the complete strike on Sunday against the Shopian killings.
Zaffar also expressed satisfaction over the unity and one voice of Kashmiri people against the Zubin Mehta’s musical concert, statement added.
Meanwhile the party spokesman termed the house detention of Zaffer Akbar bhat as the State’s planned strategy of distancing people from the ongoing movement and its leadership.
JKLF (H) chairman and senior APHC (M) leader Javaid Ahmad Mir in a statement issued on Saturday condemned the ‘cold blooded’ murder of four Kashmiri youth by forces at Shopian today.
While supporting the strike call given by APHC, Mir said that the international media present here in Kashmir for covering the Music Concert at Srinagar must have realized what the reality of Kashmir is.
“On one side Indian government and international community are talking about peace and on the other side killing of innocent and suppressed Kashmiris in cold blood is continuing. This is the ground reality of Kashmir that we have been highlighting since decades,” Javaid said in his statement.
“It should be clear now for international community that the people of Kashmir have been caged by forces since 1947. The Indianized political parties do not represent Kashmiri nation. They represent Delhi and its ten lakh forces and their highhandedness in Kashmir,” he added.

In another statement issued by Voice of Victims (VoV) today said that VoV condemns the Shopian incident in which four local Kashmiris have been killed and many injured.
While paying tributes to the deceased and expressing solidarity with the injured, VoV asked the world community to pay attention to the ‘worst kind of human rights violation’ happening in Kashmir.
