Srinagar, Jan 21: Paying rich tributes to the 1990 martyrs of Gaw kadal, Handwara and Kupwara massacres, APHCFriday stressed that freedom struggle would be taken forward with political unity till it would reach its logical end.
A hurriyat delegation including senior hurriyat leaders including Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Syed Bashir Andrabi and Imtiyaz Reshi visited Dalgate and other areas of Srinagar to offer Fateh khwani and pay rich tributes to the martyrs of Gaw Kadal massacre.
Terming the sacrifices laid down by Kashmiris for the cause as the priceless asset of the struggle, senior hurriyat leader Zafar Akbar Bhat stressed upon the international community to respect the aspirations of Kashmiris by playing their role in solving Kashmir issue either by implementing UN resolutions or though tripartite dialogue.
The Hurriyat delegation also visited the house of Sirajudin Farouti, brother in law of senior hurriyat leader Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, who was subjected to enforced disappearance by the Indian troops two decades ago. The leaders express solidarity with the family.
Another Hurriyat delegation led by Adnan Nadwi visited the house of martyr Javed Ahmad Salfi at Bulbul Nowgam and participated in his funeral prayers. They also expressed solidarity with the family members and paid rich tributes to the martyr
