failed to keep their promises with Kashmiris: Zaffar Akbar

Feb 4 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zaffer Akbar Bhat on
Tuesday expressed agony over ‘Indian
policy-rigidity on Kashmir’ issue and said that first ever prime Minister, Pt.
Jawahar Lal Nehru failed to keep his promise with the people which he had done
with the people regarding exercising ‘right to self determination’
According to a statement issued to KNS, he
said that besides Nehru, Dr Manmohan Singh also failed to keep his promise of zero
tolerance towards human rights violations in Kashmir.
Zaffer said that ground situations clearly
depicts that Indian troops continue to violate human rights violations that
evidently proves how sincere India is towards protecting the human rights of Kashmiris
in valley!
He said that Pathribal fake encounter case
closure is the worst ever human rights violation and victim families continue
to wait for justice. So Indian Prime Minister must intervene and play its role
in granting justice to families.
Meanwhile, remembering party vice chairman,
Shaheed Mohd Ayoub Dar and other martyrs at Beerwah Budgam, Zaffer Akbar Bhat
thanked Pakistan and people of Pakistan for observing Kashmir solidarity day on
5th of February on every year.
He said that Shaheed Ayoub has played a key
role in uniting party and strengthening APHC at gross root level sue tow which
he was imprisoned several times.
Zaffer Akaber Bhat also paid glowing tributes
Zahid Farooq on his fourth martyrdom anniversary. He also paid tributes to
martyrs of 2008, 2009 and 2010 and said during these years Indian security
forces used force to quell the protesters and killed hundreds of our youth. He
said that till time culprits of these killings haven’t been punished. He
expressed agony over the criminal silence of International community which they
maintained over the Kashmir conflict.
Zaffer expressed sarrow and grief over the
sad dimes of pious women, Aaapaji and expressed sympathy with the bereaved
family. He also expressed sympathy with Javid Ahmad, Mohd Akbar, Mohd Ashraf
and Mohd Yousf. (KNS)
