JKSM condemns schoolboy’s killing

senior APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zaffar Akbar Bhat has strongly condemned the killing of Zahid Farooq Shaikh, a 17-year-old school boy of Nishat Srinagar by unprovoked firing of troopers while he was playing cricket on late Friday.
In a statement, Hurriyat leader said, killing of innocent youth and continued human rights violations by policemen and troops, deployed in Kashmir is to suppress the ongoing righteous movement for right to self-determination. The killing spree is going on unchecked in Kashmir due black laws given to the armed forces in the territory. Bhat while demanding troops withdrawal said the barbaric process of using unjust force and excessive teargas shelling on peaceful protestors and pedestrians, arrest of innocent youth and detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists was started by the authorities and their armed forces to crush the righteous voice and struggle of the people of Kashmir. The Hurriyat leader while condemning the killing of Zahid Farooq termed it as worst kind of barbarism and aggression. JKSM Chairman has expressed sympathy with the family of the deceased boy said, the sacrifices and blood of Kashimiris will bear fruit and the clouds of oppression and tyranny will make way to the dawn of liberation. He appealed the international community to take strong steps to stop the continued human rights violations in Kashmir. Meanwhile a high level delegation led by Javaid Farooq Rather along with Naseer Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad, Abdul Majeed who visited Brain Nishat paid glowing tributes to the student and other Martyrs who were recently killed by CRPF and Police indiscriminate firings has reiterated that the party will continue martyrs mission till its logical end.
